SENIOR CONTENT MARKETING SPECIALIST
SUMMARY
Content creation is at the heart of this role, with a wide variety of opportunities for making an impact. This role will contribute to the company’s social media accounts and create compelling content to build Mortenson’s brand around innovation through digital and other mediums.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with leadership and stakeholders to define objectives, target audiences, key messages, channels, timeline, measurement, and budget to create effective marketing strategies and execute them.
- Conduct market research to gain valuable insights to understand your target audience.
- Plan and host events to support company initiatives
- Shoot, edit, and publish video content on social media and manage the stakeholder review process.
- Coach team members and executives on branding best practices.
- Measure and report audience engagement and overall social channel performance.
- Work in partnership with Mortenson’s communication team to reach internal audiences
- Create compelling content for the company’s website and other external media
- Desire to become knowledgeable in the construction industry
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications studies, Technical & Scientific Communications, Journalism or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B writing / content marketing
- Knowledge in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries preferred
- FAA drone pilot licensure is ideal
- Current driver’s license
- Proficiency in writing and editing content for business to business (B2B) audiences
- Expertise in content creation across written and digital mediums – Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Refined business messaging skills to craft engaging headlines, calls to action, and structured content pieces
- Technical knowledge of video and how it is used across different platforms
- Sharp eye for design and ability to visually organize information to quickly convey the core message
- Ability to organize and deliver multiple assignments at once
- Marketing strategy experience
- Strong presentation and public speaking experience
- Passionate about architecture, engineering, and construction industry
- Ability to travel up to 25% to project sites

The base pay range for this role is $83,000 - $125,000
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
