Heavy Equipment Operator 1 

  

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment as specified. This role requires strict adherence to Mortenson's safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations. 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Operate the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:  

Forklift/Telehandler   

Bobcat/Skid-steer   

Follow prescribed safety regulations   

Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area  

Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning   

Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction   

Follow work plans and pre-task cards   

Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels   

  

QUALIFICATIONS  

Equipment certifications as required   

Minimum one year of related experience   

Current driver’s license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law  

*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
