Mary Lynne Perushek Wins Minnesota CIO ORBIE Award

Mortenson’s very own Mary Lynne Perushek, chief information officer, has been named the winner of the 2022 Minnesota CIO ORBIE Award in the Enterprise CIO category.

The CIO ORBIE Award is the premier technology executive recognition program in the country, honoring chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. The CIO ORBIE Awards have been recognizing technology executives for leadership, innovation, and excellence for more than 20 years.

“While there are many accomplishments at Mortenson I am proud of, the most important is building a high-performing team,” Mary Lynne said. “We deliver results and create value through, by, and with people.”

Under Mary Lynne’s leadership, ITS has moved from a perceived roadblock to a valuable business partner by providing leadership and tools to build and sustain a strong, solutions-oriented team. She created a vision for what ITS could be and has cascaded that vision throughout the team.

“Our ITS organization has evolved under Mary Lynne’s leadership to a become a customer-focused, agile team of business partners helping us reach our strategic priorities,” Dan Johnson, President and CEO, said. “Mary Lynne in partnership with many other leaders in the company is leading the modernization of our core business technologies that will allow us to grow into the future.”

Mortenson and Mary Lynne are in good company. Winners in the other categories included Land O’Lakes, Medtronic, Best Buy, Cirrus Aircraft, Edmentum, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
