Milwaukee Tool Downtown Office

Milwaukee Tool selected Mortenson to serve as their construction partner for the renovation of their new downtown Milwaukee office building. The project, known as “Project Red Beacon” will remodel the existing five-story, 370,000-square-foot building in multiple phases.

The first phase includes the interior demolition of the first through fifth floors and the build-out of the third and fourth floors. The build-out includes new offices, conference rooms, and open workstations. The final phases include the build-out of the first, second, and fifth floors. This allows for occupancy on the 3rd and 4th floors while continuing construction on the floors above and below.

Milwaukee Tool's project is the largest-ever influx of jobs by a suburban-based firm to downtown Milwaukee. The completed building will house over 1,200 employees within subsequent years.
