Leadership is about putting people first while finding smarter, more efficient ways to build for the future.
Building the future through people and efficiency
Leadership today requires flexibility to keep pace with rapid technological change, while maintaining a strong people-first mindset. At Mortenson, leadership is defined by a servant leadership approach. Our leaders focus on supporting and developing their teams, which creates an environment where everyone can thrive. Looking ahead, one of the greatest opportunities for our industry is finding ways to make the construction process more efficient in order to conserve all of our resources, including our people, materials, planet, and finances.
Driven by innovation, grounded in people
At Mortenson, we’re redefining what it means to be a builder by delivering total project solutions—from construction to sustainability, development, and energy management. We thrive on solving complex challenges and supporting our customers’ most ambitious goals. As technology rapidly evolves, our ability to adapt and manage information is more important than ever. What sets us apart is how well we understand our customers’ businesses and tailor our approach to meet their needs. Developing the next generation of builders remains a key focus, and our people-first culture supports that growth.
Doing the right thing, every time
Every project begins with a focus on people. By understanding the full team’s goals and expectations, we build a foundation for open and honest communication from the start. Strong customer relationships are rooted in trust—doing what we say, communicating clearly, and always keeping the customer’s best interests in mind. A commitment to doing the right thing allows us to stand behind our work, whether it's delivering a facility today or supporting operations long after the project is comple
PERSONAL PASSIONS
I’m passionate about supporting Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study Program, which gives high school students real-world experience to shape their future careers. A highlight for me was Cristo Rey’s Formation Day, where I shared my career journey and answered students’ questions. It was an inspiring reminder of why investing in the next generation matters.
