Jordyn has been with Mortenson since 2017 and is a graduate of Central Washington University with a Master of Science in Safety and Health Management. As Senior Safety Engineer, Jordyn is responsible for promoting a safe, reliable, and efficient operating environment and building a true safety culture. Her focus is to make sure our jobsites are compliant with the safety regulations set by Mortenson and OSHA. Jordyn is fully committed to creating an environment and culture that will ensure the safety of all stakeholders, craft workers, and visitors through top-down accountability for zero injuries. She also serves as Mortenson Seattle’s Environmental Program Lead as well as specialized in COVID Management for project sites.
There is nothing more Jordyn enjoys about her role than the people she works with. She prioritizes building relationships with craft team members to collaborate to find new and improved ways to keep our team members safe. Jordyn enjoys the fast-paced, solution-oriented nature of safety on jobsites and loves the challenge of becoming proficient in so many different areas.
Jordyn serves on Mortenson’s Community Impact Team and leads our annual school supply drive. Outside of work, she enjoys the opportunity to mentor young students as they prep for life after high school through leading a youth ministry at her local church. Jordyn loves spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Oakley!
