
Jordyn Cesar
Safety Manager | Seattle
Jordyn Cesar has been with Mortenson since 2017 and is a graduate of Central Washington University with a Master of Science in Safety and Health Management. As Safety Manager, Jordyn is responsible for promoting a safe, reliable, and efficient operating environment and building a true safety culture. Her focus is to make sure Mortenson jobsites are compliant with the safety regulations set by Mortenson and OSHA. Jordyn is fully committed to creating an environment and culture that will ensure the safety of all stakeholders, craft workers, and visitors through top-down accountability for zero injuries. She is productive, approachable, and a visible leader in fostering a safe and productive jobsite, supporting Mortenson’s commitment to sending everyone home safely each day.
Jordyn’s project experience includes work on the Climate Pledge Arena, Cascade Learning Resource Center, Four106 Office Tower, citizenM Hotel Pioneer Square, citizenM Hotel South Lake Union, Astra Hotel, and the UW Medical Center Expansion Phase II. She has also contributed to projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, such as the Delta A12 Passenger Boarding Bridge and Main Terminal Low Voltage Systems Upgrades.
There is nothing Jordyn enjoys more about her role than the people she works with. She prioritizes building relationships with craft team members to collaborate and find new and improved ways to keep everyone safe. Jordyn enjoys the fast-paced, solution-oriented nature of safety on jobsites and loves the challenge of becoming proficient in so many different areas.
Jordyn serves on Mortenson’s Community Impact Team and leads the annual school supply drive. Outside of work, she enjoys mentoring young students as they prepare for life after high school through her leadership in youth ministry at her local church. Jordyn loves spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Oakley!
