As a Lead Engineer with Engineering Services, Michael focuses on developing and coordinating Mortenson's Engineering’s efforts to align with our partners in our Power Delivery, Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage groups. From design estimates and proposal support to design work and field coordination, Michael supports the civil-structural design in substations and transmission lines from the onset of the pursuit through the as-built process. He also oversees drafting efforts for substation design, emphasizing on standards implementation and workflow optimization.

Michael has been in the Power Delivery industry for 11 years.  His experience has ranged from working with project construction and design teams on substations and transmission lines in voltage classes ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV. He’s acted as Engineer of Record on multiple substation and transmission line projects and holds a PE license in 15 states.
