Mortenson is currently seeking a Director of Quality that will be responsible for providing company oversight to all Quality systems, tools, processes, policies, and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee company-wide improvement initiatives to increase performance and efficiency in Quality processes and systems
Identify and monitor key performance indicators for Quality and drive improvement initiatives
Ensure the development of the Quality talent pool/pipeline across the company to meet current and future talent needs
Manage and provide leadership to Quality team members across operating groups and the companywide Quality budget
Provide reporting of Quality initiatives and KPIs to senior leadership
Provide company-wide oversight for all quality systems, processes, policies, and standards, including Quality Events, Quality Management Plans, and Mortenson’s Quality System
Collaborate with external vendors, competitors, and researchers to ensure Mortenson’s Quality practices remain consistent with industry best practices
Lead team members by example, offering effective coaching and feedback, and managing performance
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of Quality, engineering, or construction management experience, with experience leading a quality program
Experience with issue management and inspection of work put in place
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, and professional customer service skills
Intermediate-to-advanced understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems
Previous experience establishing project objectives and monitoring performance
Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 50%

The base pay range for this role is $133,300 - $200,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
