Design Engineer III - Power Studies
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer III – Power Studies, responsible for a broad range of detailed engineering designs for high voltage substation, collection, and transmission projects for utility scale generation projects (Wind, Solar, Storage, etc.) You will be responsible for working closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate the overall design package and requirements. The main focus of this position will be Power Studies - including: Short Circuit, Reactive Power and Losses using software PSSE, and Arc Flash using ETAP. This role includes performing the studies and performing quality control on other’s work.
Hiring Locations: Minneapolis, MN, Fargo, ND, San Antonio, TX, and Denver, CO. Remote locations will also be considered, with up to 25% travel to office locations.

BENEFITS
The base pay range for this role is $93,400 - $126,100. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
