SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Marketing Technology - Web Platforms Manager to lead the execution and optimization of Mortenson’s website platform and support the marketing technology ecosystem. This role serves as the platform owner for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related systems, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the organization’s digital infrastructure. The position partners closely with the Digital Experience Manager, ITS, and external technology vendors to enable effective digital experiences, support marketing initiatives, and maintain a high-performing web platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and manage website platform and marketing technology infrastructure
Serve as the platform owner for Mortenson’s Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) website platform, overseeing configuration, governance, and continuous improvement.
Partner with the in-house AEM back-end developer to prioritize and implement platform enhancements, resolve technical issues, and maintain system performance.
Partner with ITS and Salesforce teams to oversee requirements for integrations between the website platform and enterprise systems including Salesforce, analytics platforms, and other marketing technology tools.
Oversee and optimize digital platforms including site search (Coveo), web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and related marketing technology systems.
Manage domain setup, configuration, and governance across Mortenson operating groups and digital properties.
Establish and maintain platform governance, workflows, documentation, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
Monitor platform performance, uptime, and system health, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Coordinate with IT and external technology partners to ensure platform security, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Maintain and prioritize the website platform roadmap in partnership with the Digital Experience Manager and Marketing Technology leadership.
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Development, Marketing Technology, or related field preferred
8–10 or more years of experience managing digital platforms, enterprise CMS systems, marketing technology infrastructure, or related disciplines
Strong knowledge of enterprise content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Experience managing digital platforms including site search (e.g., Coveo), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager), and marketing technology systems
Understanding of digital platform architecture, APIs, and enterprise system integrations, including CRM platforms such as Salesforce
Experience collaborating with developers and coordinating technical work across internal teams and external partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to digital platform performance and system optimization
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern CMS frameworks
Understanding of SEO, website performance monitoring, and digital analytics best practices
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 10–15%

The base pay range for this role is $111,500 - $167,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
