Position:  Campus Director

DUTIES: The Campus Director is responsible for providing overall customer site management and leadership for mega (>$1B) renewable energy construction projects. This role develops and maintains successful customer relations, operational oversight, and risk management and assists operating group with winning future work with the mega project customers. Specific duties include: (1) conduct key customer experience sessions throughout the project, from pre-construction client surveys to close-out, ensuring project commitments are met and issues are resolved; (2) act as primary customer contact; (3) maintain customer relationships to be aware of current and future projects; (4) support business development initiatives in establishing and building client relationships; (5) identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company; (5) manage contract administration, including, but not limited to terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments; (6) establish and implement project objective and procedures; (7) forecast and maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing, ensuring delivery of a profitable renewable energy construction project; (8) provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, lean, VDC, and compliance for the project and team members; (9) lead site workforce recruitment and development; (10) review work of Project Executives, Senior Project Managers, Senior Superintendents, and others assigned to the construction project; (11) mentor and manage team members to establish and foster a team environment and develop team members for future career considerations and training opportunities; (12) perform owner and subcontract agreement negotiations and dispute resolution; (13) provide leadership on renewable energy construction projects with respect to the following products and technologies of renewable energy generating and transmission facilities: foundations, rotating axis and fixed tilt structures, wire and cable systems, electronic control systems, and photovoltaic and battery storage; and (14) provide expertise regarding regulated utility providers’ project key business indicators, power production requirements, and interconnection requirements. This position supervises subordinates, which may vary in number from 8 to 10, depending on the project. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States. Position requires international and domestic travel up to 75% of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus nine (9) years of related experience in the construction industry focused on renewable energy projects. Must also have three (3) years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company; (2) manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments; (3) forecast and maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for a portfolio of renewable energy construction projects of at least $250 million; (4) provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, lean, VDC, and compliance for the project and team members; (5) work with the following products and technologies of renewable energy generating and transmission facilities: foundations, rotating axis and fixed tilt structures, wire and cable systems, electronic control systems, and photovoltaic and battery storage; and (6) work with regulated utility providers’ project key business indicators, power production requirements, and interconnection requirements. Position requires international and domestic travel up to 75% of the time. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. All experience may have been gained concurrently. This position supervises subordinates, which may vary in number from 8 to 10, depending on the project. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States.
