M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Engineer IV located in Minneapolis, MN. The Engineer IV is responsible for a broad range of detailed engineering designs for power systems engineering projects up to 500 kV and for performing a broad range of engineering assignments requiring knowledge in engineering-related disciplines. This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in power systems engineering. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in power systems engineering. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) interfacing and presenting to multiple stakeholders for power systems engineering projects; (2) developing and evaluating the technical requirements for fabrication and project tender packages; (3) verifying project implementation aligns with electrical engineering designs; (4) researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations; and (5) studying fault cases for power systems to determine reactive power and voltage optimization; overvoltage analysis; and voltage stability assessment. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Up to 50% of domestic travel may be required. The base pay range for this role is $131,186 to $167,100.

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
