PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for the installation of concrete foundations and formed concrete walls.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

 

Study plans and sketches for information pertaining to type of material required such as lumber and concrete form systems

Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang forms

Shoot grades and elevations

Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect pre-fabricated materials

Concrete and rough carpentry

  1. Hand Set Plywood Formed Walls
  2. Install Plywood Footing Forms
  3. Assemble and Set Symons Forms
  4. Fabricate and Install Concrete Edge Form / Decking Blockouts / Hanging Sides
  5. Assemble and Set Gang Wall Forms
  6. Rig and Signal Crane and Forklift Operators
  7. Install Form Scaffold
  8. Climb Gang Form Walls and Climb Reinforcing Steel
  9. Install Concrete Wall Embeds, Blockouts, Bulkheads

Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  1. Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  2. Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Minimum of ten years of experience as a carpenter
  3. Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus
