Environmental Coordinator - Solar
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an Environmental Coordinator for our Solar Operating Group responsible for supporting Mortenson’s environmental program for project sites and promoting environmental compliance of construction activities.
Candidates with field experience is preferred. Must be able to travel 100% with regular rotations home every 3 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and administer the environmental program at each work site.
Support project management team in executing site specific environmental plans and activities
Participate in and contribute to project planning
Attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractors
Monitor trade partner work plans and activities for environmental concerns
Assist with implementation of policies and procedures for compliance with all environmental regulations
Support environmental orientation and training programs
Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental management
Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation measures
Conduct work site environmental inspections
Monitor and record environmental data
Assist with incident analysis and response
Work with customer’s environmental personnel, environmental consultants, and regulatory representatives
Accompany environmental, health and safety, and regulatory personnel on work site tours
Ensure maintenance and inspection of environmental equipment
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Previous related experience a plus
Current driver’s license
Ability to work in Microsoft Office and pertinent environmental related software programs
Familiar with environmental concepts, practices, and procedures
Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies to team members and outside parties
Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $58,100 - $78,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
