Mortenson is currently seeking a Training and Onboarding Coordinator to join our Solar team. The Training Coordinator will be assisting the Senior Technical Trainer for the group and will be responsible for providing high quality, professional, and timely support relating to the administration and coordination of training as well as manage training courses in the Learning Management System.
Location: MN- Headquarters, Golden Valley, MN (hybrid)
Training Coordination
- Act as a contact for the Solar group, which includes responding to learning questions or requests from your group, and escalating questions or request you are unable to address to Learning & Development. This also includes training team members and instructors in your group on the use of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Run and review reports to communicate learning completion status within your group. This includes identifying team members with outstanding/past due assignments, instructor-led (ILT) courses that need classes scheduled, and following up with team members and instructors as necessary.
- Manage instructor-led classes. This includes scheduling classes in the LMS, inviting and/or registering team members for classes, ensuring pre-requisites and/or pre-work are complete, reserving the room, ordering catering, and printing instructor and participant materials.
- Act as the on-site coordinator for ILT classes by ensuring technology is set up, recording attendance, distributing materials, facilitating catering, entering completions into the LMS, and completing other tasks as need to support the instructor.
- Help with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed
Onboarding Coordination
- Assistant with Mortenson’s Solar company Onboarding program. This includes partner with managers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities leading the onboarding experience, and guiding new team members as they complete their onboarding experience.
- Support managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for their new hire. This includes ensuring new team members have a work space, applicable technology, onboarding mentor assignment, and a 90-day onboarding calendar. Ensure a successful transition to the project site.
- Integrate group-specific onboarding experiences, supplementing the company Onboarding program, to address group-specific challenges or engagement opportunities.
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Help with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five years of office experience
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting data
- Experience coordinating meetings or training events
- Familiarity with database software (i.e. Access), graphics software, and/or e-learning authoring tools
- Minimal travel

**The base pay range for this role is $26.63 - $35.96 hourly. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
