SOLAR
COMMUNITY IMPACT

The Solar team believes that we should Do Something Good in every city that invites us to be part of their community – whether that is near our headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota or around the country at one of our many project sites. We take this honor seriously, and at the end of the day, we want our companies, our communities, and our people all to be better because we’ve worked together.

Hitting the trails

The Edwards & Sanborn Solar+Storage project team recently donated their time, muscle, and tools to help the Tehachapi Mountain Trails Association (TMTA) groom their mountain biking/hiking/running trails. The TMTA is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization focused on creating and preserving non-motorized trails in the greater Tehachapi, California area.

Making the holidays brighter for local children

One of our favorite ways to celebrate the holidays is to support toy and coat drives in the local communities where we live and work. We are constantly impressed by the immense generosity of our team members when presented with an opportunity to help those in need, and this is never more evident than during the holiday season. Some of the organizations that we have supported  include the United Way, Toys for Tots, and the Fort Bend Rainbow Room.

Helping to put food on the table

The need for food and other household item donations has never been greater across the nation. We partnered with organizations such as Action Pact, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Youth Planet Savers Garden and Food Pantry, The Young Marines, Sanctuary Covenant Church, Prism, The Shanneh Foundation, and numerous local food banks to help provide these necessary items to families and individuals in need.

Walking to end Alzheimer's

While the Walk to End Alzheimer’s may have looked different over the last couple of years, our dedicated team members did not let that deter them from supporting such an amazing cause. Each year, the Mortenson Big Strides team supports the Alzheimer’s Association through a corporate sponsorship, individual donations, and participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Visit the Alzheimer’s Association website to learn more, find a walk near you, or to provide a financial donation.
