Both are cGMP-regulated, but they are distinct process modalities. Device facilities are built around cleanroom enclosed production equipment and specialized MEP, while pharmaceutical facilities are built around process suites for drug manufacturing, where aseptic design is paramount. Mortenson has delivered both: Boston Scientific's medical device cleanroom facility and Serán's pharmaceutical plant for oral solid dosage production.
