Confidential Solar and Storage Project

Mortenson's Energy Storage, Solar, and Power Delivery teams came together to build this utility-scale 20 MWac/30.8 MWdc single-axis PV solar plant, substation, and 10MW / 40MWhr battery energy storage system in Arizona. The lithium-ion battery system is set up for solar energy shifting to better meet peak demand needs and is Arizona's first utility-scale solar plus storage installation. The energy storage and substation were completed in 4 months on a very tight schedule.
