Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Upgrades

How do you ensure safety during an airport construction project?

This design-build project included complete electrical system replacement for the main terminal and concourse areas, newly expanded security checkpoints, concrete apron replacement, upgrading and replacing boilers and chillers, upgrading elevators and escalators, new inbound baggage handling and conveyors, and other miscellaneous mechanical systems upgrades. Because Terminal 2 is an operating terminal, the level of communication and coordination with the Aviation Department, facilities, security, airlines, and retail operators was extremely important to a successful project.
