Construction of the addition and renovation to the ProHealth Care D.N. Greenwald Emergency Department in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, was completed in May 2015. Located on an operational campus, the project consisted of a 65,651-square-foot addition and 10,492 square feet of renovations.

The new edition includes:

• New receiving/storage/loading dock areas on the lower level
• New and enhanced mechanical/electrical areas to support the ER Department addition as well as potential future vertical expansion
• Decontamination areas on the main level
• Dedicated spaces for law enforcement and EMS services
• Four-vehicle, enclosed/heated, ambulance garage
• 25 exam/treatment rooms including Behavioral Health, Bariatric, Eye/ENT rooms, and Trauma Room with two-bed capacity
• Office area including Staff Lounge and Physicians Area
• Reception and entry area with covered exterior drop-off canopy
• Expanded existing radiology to include new X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) spaces
• Green roof over expanded radiology area

Renovations to the existing facility included:

• A lab in existing lower level shelled space including Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Histology, and Urinalysis spaces
• Expanded radiology into the new expansion
• A canteen/deli area
• Renovated and expanded Pharmacy
