SCL Health Clinics

Mortenson was selected as one of the medical construction companies in Denver to serve as Construction Manager on three SCL clinics: Cherry Creek Clinic, Denver West Clinic, and Superior Clinic, a medical office building construction program across the Denver metro. As a clinic construction company, Mortenson worked through several owners and design changes as the customer updated its standards for building future clinics around the Denver Metro area. All three projects started in January of 2019 and were completed between May and June of 2019. Mortenson self-performed Acoustic Ceiling Tile (ACT) and drywall, and installed the feature patient room ExamSlide™ barn doors (with glass artwork in the center), with excellent quality and safety.

Cherry Creek Clinic - $1.6 Million

Mortenson demolished and built-out the top floor of an office building for a 9,000-square-foot family medicine clinic relocation. The space features new patient rooms, care team areas, physician consultation spaces, a blood lab, and a procedure room. Mortenson self-performed the backing, toilet accessories, and doors, frames, and hardware.

Denver West Clinic - $2 Million

Mortenson demolished and built-out a floor at the Denver West Campus for an 11,000-square-foot family medicine clinic relocation. The space includes new patient rooms, care team areas, physician consultation spaces, a blood lab, and procedure rooms. Mortenson self-performed the ACT ceiling, drywall, framing and finishes, backing, toilet accessories, and doors, frames, and hardware.

Superior Clinic - $3 Million

Mortenson demolished and built-out a new 15,000-square-foot family medicine, primary care, and OBGYN clinic in downtown Superior. The space includes new patient rooms, care team areas, physician consultation spaces, a blood lab, procedure rooms, ultrasound and stress test rooms. Mortenson self-performed the ACT ceiling, backing, toilet accessories, and doors, frames, and hardware.

Across all three clinics, this medical office building construction ranged in cost from $1.6 million to $3 million depending on scope and square footage, real benchmarks for Denver-area healthcare construction clients evaluating a similar buildout.
