Ivan Srdjevic

Ivan is a key leader for the Energy Storage group at Mortenson, currently serving as Market Director. He is highly skilled in developing strategies that drive business growth by building lasting relationships, understanding market priorities, and identifying potential disruptors.

Ivan influences all aspects of the project life cycle, leveraging Mortenson’s comprehensive solutions to meet market needs. Since joining the Energy Storage group in 2021, Ivan has formed trusted relationships, helping industry-leading customers bring transformational progress to reality across the United States. Additionally, Ivan is passionate about collaborating with Mortenson’s talented and innovative team members.

Ivan earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from Northwestern University. He began his career engineering natural gas and coal power plants and is now focused on energy storage and renewables. Ivan has 11 years of experience in the power industry working with utilities and developers as an engineer, project manager, and consultant.

Ivan currently resides in the Minneapolis area and is married to his wife, Lindsay. Together, they have two sons, Niko and Novak, and one tiny cat in a dog’s body, Ruka. Ivan has a black belt in Taekwondo and is an avid traveler who has visited over 20 countries, usually with a stop to visit family in Serbia. Despite never running, he completed the Chicago marathon to win a bet. In his down time, Ivan enjoys watching tennis or finding a quiet hour to dive into a video game.
