The best outcomes happen when everyone takes ownership. When teams show up for each other and for the customer, you create an experience that goes far beyond the finished project.
Walk alongside to lead
Each day presents us with opportunities to overcome challenges and positively influence others. As a leader, my goal is to walk alongside our teams to provide guidance, encourage innovation, and celebrate their successes. I am passionate about nurturing growth in our people - and ultimately our teams - and I am empowered by the company to provide a safe space for people to flourish.
Nothing is someone else's problem
When we operate as one team, ownership and accountability take on new meaning. The responsibility to create an exceptional experience for our customers belongs to everyone and it's not just about delivering a flawless end product, it's about how our customers and partners feel along the journey. I believe the way we conduct ourselves in life and business is more important than being the smartest one in the room. It's doing the right thing when the difficult approach or the less-than-obvious response might be the toughest path to choose.
Foster an inclusive culture
We are a company that embraces change (even creates change!) and we are fueled by people who are humble, optimistic, and genuinely excited about the work they do. I feel so fortunate to have spent most of my career here at Mortenson, sharing in and growing from a culture that aligns with my own values. I want every team member to feel the same way, and I know our teams thrive when we get this right.
