Reimaging how we better engage and retain our young workforce and challenging our ways of thinking and styles of leadership help us attract the best, most diverse talent in the industry.
Leading the future of construction
Will is growing Mortenson's presence in Nashville and is responsible for managing projects across the southeast region of the United States. As an industry expert, Will has served in leadership roles for a range of projects and industries, from small hospital renovations to 1.2 billion-dollar pro sports arenas. For example, he played an integral part in redeveloping the certified net-zero-carbon Climate Pledge Arena into a best-in-world venue - all while keeping its historic landmarked roof intact.
Relationships built on trust
Will is passionate about delivering quality projects in a way that always ensures a happy customer, even when it's not the easiest thing to do. Because of that, his best customer relationships turn into lifelong personal relationships, built on trust and mutual respect established over the course of the project.
Diversity and career development
Will is passionate about building an inclusive work atmosphere, and he actively participates in industry events such as Construction Inclusion Week. His servant leadership style focuses on supporting his team in the field, encouraging engagement and promoting diversity in the workplace. He takes pride in helping develop careers and provide opportunities for his team to grow and expand their skillsets.
At home in Nashville
Hailing from the South, Will feels right at home in Nashville. When he's not overseeing client projects, Will enjoys getting involved in the Nashville community and spending time with his family. You can find him at the Richland Park toddler soccer games most Saturday mornings.
One of the things I'm most passionate about is mentoring and helping develop the careers of those that come after me. It's a fantastic experience to watch your teammates grow and become successful within their own careers. When you work with someone early in their journey and push them outside their comfort zone, growth happens in a big way and they fly high to the next big thing in their career.
