Building project teams that reflect the diverse nature of our communities is a top priority at Mortenson. We follow best practices for recruitment, training, career development and growth, to expose the next generation of youth — particularly students of color and young women – to rewarding career opportunities in the construction industry.
Craft Dependent Scholarship Program
Mortenson is excited to partner with Scholarship America on this exciting new program for the dependents of our craft team members. We have 14 annual scholarships available, totaling $94,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be a dependent of a craft team member and must be enrolled in an accredited vocational/technical, two-year, or four-year program.
Special consideration is given to young women, students of color, those with financial need, and those pursuing an education in construction, engineering, or real estate.
ACE Mentor Program
Each summer, interns join us across the company to learn skills and discover career possibilities.
CCN from Build Colorado
Construction Careers Now (CCN) prepares students for rewarding careers in construction.
CCP Alliance – MN
Construction Career Pathways Alliance offers year-round career exploration for Minnesota youth.
Milwaukee TechTerns
Students work alongside professionals to learn on-the-job skills and explore career options.
Rainier Scholars - WA
This program supports students of color who will be the first in their family to earn a degree.
Step Up Minneapolis
Students receive training that leads to a skilled, diverse, more equitable workforce.
