SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Data Analyst - Finance who will be responsible for analyzing enterprise data, developing new visual analytics tools, and identifying patterns, trends, and insights from available information systems to assist management with operational decision making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the assigned business challenge and develop a plan to identify, obtain, and analyze the necessary data to drive improved business performance
Analyze internal enterprise data, coupling statistical methods and data science to translate Mortenson’s core data into actionable business insights and predictive models from a variety of data sources
Ability to analyze business issues using a variety of tools and approaches, and effectively explain findings to diverse audiences
Develop, analyze, and model operational, economic, management, and other organizational data
Quantify the competitive performance of business segments
Evaluate potential operational changes
Design new approaches and methodologies
Review program data consistently to provide corrective action when necessary based on information collected and current trends to maximize business performance
Take complex statistical output and translate it to actionable insights for business leaders

All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is $72,900 - $109,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
