SUMMARY
Mortenson is looking for a Senior Market Insights Analyst who will be responsible for developing and delivering clear, executive-level insights on market, economic, and competitive dynamics. This role helps the organization understand what is evolving in the market, what it means, and how to respond.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Market Insights and Reporting
Develop and deliver insights on end-market sector and geographic market trends, economic conditions, and industry outlooks, incorporating both quantitative data and qualitative research
Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for senior leadership, including quarterly market updates and sector outlooks
Synthesize market, economic, and competitive information into clear business implications
Prepare executive-level presentation slides and written summaries for leadership discussions and decision-making
Market Assessments and Strategic Support
Lead market assessments across end-market sectors and geographies to support business planning and growth strategy
Serve as the primary insights lead for select sectors or geographies, maintaining a clear view of demand drivers, competitive dynamics, and market outlook
Translate findings into implications for market positioning, strategic priorities, and pursuit strategies
Competitive Intelligence and Benchmarking
Analyze competitor performance, strategy, and positioning across priority sectors and geographies
Develop competitor profiles and maintain a consistent approach to benchmarking
Identify changes in competitive dynamics and assess implications for the business, including competitive positioning and differentiation
Analytical Approach & Insight Development
Plan and execute analysis for complex business questions
Integrate inputs from multiple internal and external sources into a clear view of market dynamics
Develop consistent approaches and standard deliverables for market assessments and analysis
Manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality work on tight timelines
QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is Min $92,300 - $138,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
