SUMMARY 

 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and a Talent Acquisition Specialist that will serve as a trusted advisor to the hiring managers and support business objectives and business relationships. 

 

NOTE: This position offers opportunities at both levels, Talent Acquisition Specialist and Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Serve as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups. 

  • Drive results against defined staffing goals, maintaining a strong focus on outcomes, speed, and quality of hire.

  • Own and refine staffing priorities aligned to the business. 

  • Design and drive sourcing initiatives to attract and engage top-tier talent aligned with organizational goals.

  • Lead weekly customer relationship meetings and own staffing reports and progress updates.

  • Own full-cycle recruiting execution, including sourcing, and staffing positions.

  • Partner with hiring managers to define and execute recruitment and selection strategies. 

  • Lead negotiation and management of external recruiting resources. 

  • Own offer recommendations, in partnership with hiring managers. 

  • Develop and continually evolve talent sourcing strategies (direct recruiting, career fairs, digital sourcing, etc.). 

  

 QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Demonstrate strong willingness to learn the business and develop deep understanding of each role to effectively identify and attract top-tier talent.

  • Ability to recommend hiring decisions to upper management. 

  • Results-driven mindset with a history of achieving recruiting performance benchmarks.

  • Proficiency in PC and widely used software packages (Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database) 

  • Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback 

  • Experience within renewables and/or construction sectors preferred, bringing insight into industry standards and best practices.

  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to understand processes, people, and challenges at a deeper level.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

 

Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field

    • Minimum four years recruiting/HR experience or combination of higher education and experience. 

  • The base pay range for this role is $79,000 - $118,600.

 

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field

    • Minimum seven years recruiting/HR experience or combination of higher education and experience. 

  • The base pay range for this role is $96,400 - $144,700.

 

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
