WIC Week Inspiration - Spotlight on Tiffany May, Senior Project Manager
Tiffany May

Tiffany grew up south of Green Bay, Wisconsin. While attending high school, she realized that she enjoyed math and physics. Encouragement from one of her physics teachers inspired her to pursue a path in civil engineering.

During her sophomore year at Marquette University, she secured a student co-op internship with a local general contractor and knew she had found her calling. Tiffany loves to problem solve, manage various aspects of a project and interface with the entire cross-section of a project team from craft to customer.

After her family moved to Minnesota, she was offered an opportunity to join Mortenson. She worked for another company for 12 years prior to moving, but was very familiar with Mortenson’s values and reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the construction industry. That, coupled with the chance to put her skills to use in renewables, made the decision to join Mortenson an easy one. Every day she feels inspired and is honored to work with the talented people at Mortenson.

She is driven by her need to learn and grow. She thrives on helping customers realize their goals through successful project completion. She helps team members learn and grow in their careers by tackling the unique challenges that each project presents. Being a part of the Wind Energy Group provides her with the opportunity to let her light shine.

Tiffany’s advice: “Do the hard stuff. If it’s not hard, you’re not learning.”
