Mortenson is proud to be honored with a Commercial Real Estate Transformer Award for our project, the Hyatt Regency at the Oregon Convention Center. Portland Business Journal’s CRE Transformer Awards recognize outstanding work in commercial real estate that embody the spirit of Portland. All winners were honored during the Transformer Award ceremony held at the Nines Hotel. These awards highlight projects that are leading the way in design, function, and impact on the regional development landscape.

The hotel project was highlighted as it will attract more national conventions to the Portland area, including the possibility of the Rose City hosting an NBA All-Star Game. In the past, the league has not held the contest in Portland, as it lacked hotel space to hold the visitors and administrators the game brings.

Before the hotel’s official opening, the extra meeting and banquet rooms have already begun generating more convention reservations.
