Safety is the foundation for everything we do at Mortenson and to achieve zero injuries, it takes an all-in commitment. In 2022, our Chicago Office achieved one year with Zero Injuries. This would not have been possible without the dedication of each and every one of our team members in Chicago, and their commitment to living this core value day in and day out. Our company's relentless focus on Zero Injuries has led to industry-leading performance since the inception of our companywide program nearly three decades ago.

Safety is a value we practice every day. I am happy to say that myself and my team feel empowered to make decisions that are safe for us and our projects.

This remarkable milestone was achieved by 250 Mortenson team members in Chicago, including 90 craftworkers, who worked 500,000-plus hours without injury across all Chicago projects.

One of the great joys of working for Mortenson is knowing, seeing, and sharing the foundational value of safety which is a core belief in all that we do. In the last few years the efforts that all team members have been driving to engage each other, our trade partners, clients, and each other's families in safety, has permeated into all that we are and who we spend time with resulting in this truly exciting achievement.

When safety is achieved, quality, productivity, and project success is sure to follow. Across our entire company, Mortenson team members are continuously looking for new, innovative solutions to make our job sites even safer so that each team member goes home in the same condition they came to work. Thier achievement and the lessons collected from it prove Zero Injuries is possible.
