Minimizing expense while maximizing performance
The new Allina Technology Center is a 20,000-square-foot data center constructed within an existing 34,560-square-foot building on a 4.1-acre site. The new facility was designed to tier III standards and includes a 450 kW load. 3,500 square feet of raised floor area, infrastructure support space, and IT staff space. The design adheres to Lean principles and features a wind-and water-resistant shell within the existing structure to provide a hardened facility, exterior emergency generators and chillers with screen wall, and compartmentalized spaces for electrical service entrances, uninterpretable power systems (UPS), battery rooms, and power distribution.
