Camelback Ranch - Glendale Spring Training Facility

How do you turn a field into a state-of-the-art MLB training facility?

This 212-acre ballpark has 10,000 stadium seats, 3,000 lawn seats, and parking for 5,000 vehicles. Twelve practice fields, batting tunnels with artificial turf - 4 major league and 8 minor league - are situated on the site along with 5 separate clubhouse buildings that house the L. A. Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox.

Facilities contain over 300 player lockers, 5,000 square foot weight rooms, training/therapy facilities, and a diet nutrition area. The facility is connected by a 1,300-foot-long lake system with a river in between, separating the two teams’ practice fields, yet is connected by urban trails.

In addition to fan and player amenities, Mortenson constructed an infrastructure improvements package that will provide water, reclaimed water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure to meet the needs of the facility.
