The Warrior in Transition (WT) Barracks project at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, involved the design and construction of a single-story, 25,000 square foot apartment-style barracks facility for single soldiers recuperating from injuries sustained during their service. The barracks includes 24 accessible, ADA-compliant apartments with kitchens. The barracks complies with DoD Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements and is USGBC LEED Gold certified. This project features a ground source heat pump system as a sustainable design feature.
