The Denver Flight Training Facility sits on 23 acres and consists of six buildings totaling more than 400,000 square feet. The renovation includes new office and classroom layouts, upgrades to building systems, including installation of a new roof, replacement of the HVAC and lighting systems, and upgrading the bathrooms to accommodate new flight simulators.
The completed project includes space to accommodate 17 existing full flight simulators, 16 new or relocated full flight simulators for a total of 33 full-flight simulators. In addition to the full flight simulators, the project also accommodates seven existing fixed training devices (FTDs), six new/relocated FTDs for a total of 13 FTDs with room for three additional FTDs.
The new space is designed to be an efficient, modern center that will serve as a benchmark for the industry and will provide superior training for the finest pilots in the business.
