The Upton 2 energy storage project is a 10MW / 42 MWh(dc) lithium-ion energy storage facility that was added to the 180MW Upton 2 Solar facility also constructed by Mortenson. The facility is used to capture the clipped capacity of the Upton 2 solar facility, along with energy price arbitrage and creating more consistent energy delivery.
