James is the vice president and general manager for Mortenson's Energy Storage & Solutions and Engineering Services groups. Energy Storage & Solutions concentrates on energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and microgrids. Engineering Services delivers innovative power system designs and consulting services to Mortenson's Energy & Infrastructure businesses.

Prior to Mortenson, James was with McKinsey & Company. James earned his B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Minnesota and his MBA in Strategic Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
