Joan Hollick

Market Executive | Energy Storage

Joan is a seasoned Market Executive with 15 years of experience leading teams executing complex projects and 10 years specifically in the construction industry. Her foundation in strategic planning and execution ensures projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Joan excels at translating highly technical solutions for customers and project teams, ensuring seamless integration of technology and construction. Her expertise has been instrumental in advancing Mortenson's position in the market, making her a key figure in the company's growth and success in its Energy Storage group.

Through her exceptional use of listening, communication, problem-solving, and awareness of market trends, Joan collaborates with teams and partners to develop solutions that benefit every party involved. She establishes solid working relationships with customers, team members, and trade partners throughout the project life cycle.

Prior to Mortenson, Joan served as Deputy Project Director for Metro Transit’s Green Line Extension Project – a $2.8 billion project connecting the southwest suburbs to downtown Minneapolis. Earlier in her career, Joan led a portfolio of operational improvement initiatives at the Chicago Transit Authority, where she modernized systems to enhance performance and reliability. 

Joan has a master’s degree in public administration from Northwestern University and is also a Project Management Professional (PMP).  

Joan is a mom of two spirited kids. She enjoys hiking with her dog, paddleboarding and sailing the City Lakes in Minneapolis, growing veggies in the garden, and traveling whenever possible.
