Execution in the field comes down to preparation and trust. When teams are aligned, supported, and empowered to lead, performance follows and quality speaks for itself.
Operational excellence, built together
Keeping projects on track starts with clarity, alignment, and purpose. In my role as Field Operations Manager, I focus on helping teams plan the work thoroughly, from early strategy through execution and completion. Most importantly, success begins with understanding our clients’ expectations and aligning our efforts to meet and exceed them. What motivates me most is the opportunity to engage with teams at every stage of a project. I enjoy supporting high performing teams, watching skills develop, and seeing growing confidence translate into results in the field. Creating an environment where people feel empowered to learn, grow, and advance is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
Listening first to deliver better
For me, great leadership is rooted in guidance rather than direction. I learned the importance of stepping back, listening, and allowing teams the space to work through challenges. While I am always ready to dig in when needed, my focus is on asking thoughtful questions and providing feedback that helps teams develop their own solutions. Safety and quality are foundational to everything we do and are built through culture. When each individual is committed to our programs and our processes are thoughtfully planned and consistently executed, accountability follows naturally.
A career shaped by mentorship and trust
Having spent my entire career with Mortenson and the Chicago Operating Group, I carry deep appreciation for the leaders and teammates who supported my development and helped shape my career path. The genuine care and commitment Mortenson shows toward its people continues to inspire how I lead today. Being recognized as Team Member of the Year was a humbling moment and a meaningful reflection of the culture here, one where people are valued as true company assets. Mentorship and professional growth are priorities I take seriously because I have seen the lasting impact intentional support can have. By building strong relationships, empowering individuals, and fostering trust, we create teams that feel valued, equipped, and motivated to succeed.
