Mohammed (Mo) Fadlallah

Director of Design Phase Management | Energy Storage

Mohammed Fadlallah serves as Director of Design Phase Management for Mortenson's Energy Storage group, where he leads teams responsible for advancing projects from early development through design and preconstruction. He works closely with customers, developers, engineers, and construction teams to align technical solutions, commercial strategy, risk management, and execution planning, helping position projects for long-term success.

Mohammed began his career in January 2012 in the field, spending five years supporting project execution and gaining firsthand experience in construction operations, safety, quality, planning, and team coordination. This foundation provided him with a practical understanding of how decisions made during development and design ultimately impact project execution in the field.

In 2016, Mohammed transitioned into design engineering as part of the launch of Mortenson Engineering Services. During his time with Engineering Services, he earned his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and led the substation physical design team, helping expand Mortenson's engineering capabilities while developing expertise in engineering leadership, project development, and multidisciplinary design management. In 2021, he transitioned into Mortenson's Energy Storage group, where he has continued to apply his technical and operational experience to support the successful development and delivery of large-scale energy storage projects.

Today, Mohammed leads Mortenson's Design Phase organization for Energy Storage and is passionate about helping teams think beyond individual deliverables to understand the broader drivers of project success. He is a strong advocate for proactive risk identification, disciplined change management, effective contract management, and customer-focused decision-making. His leadership philosophy centers on developing project managers into business leaders who can balance technical, commercial, and operational considerations while delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
