Building for the future

After staying much the same for decades, our industry is primed for a revolution. And it will be shaped by the leaders of the next generation. The young and passionate builders coming up in this industry are inspired by what’s possible—and they’re innovating new ways to achieve it. A bright spot of my own career has been guiding team members to hone their craft and mentoring them on the tools (real and figurative) available to work smarter, for better outcomes. I am truly inspired by them and feel I’m as much a student of their ideas as I am a mentor supporting their success.


Staying grounded in our truth

At Mortenson, we’re builders at heart—a surprisingly rare trait in a sports construction manager. Our builder identity matters to us because our boots still hit the dirt every day. We don’t just manage our trades, we work with our partners in the field to deliver facilities faster and at the highest quality to last generations of fans. The family feel of Mortenson inspires everyone to help and support all stakeholders involved in the project. And most importantly, the safety of everyone that steps foot on our projects is paramount in how we plan our projects.

Elevating our communities

Having a positive, lasting impact on local communities is a very important aspect of our culture. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s also the smart thing to do. We work closely with local businesses and trade partners to build upon their brands and skillsets, which will allow their businesses to grow and flourish long after the project is complete. This not only supports local businesses, but it also elevates their employees and the communities in which we live and work.


One of my main passions is growing and mentoring team members as well as being considered an excellent builder by those within Mortenson and industry partners. Mortenson has provided me the opportunity to advance my career while focusing on what is truly important to myself.
