Engineer II or III - Innovation
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Engineer II or III - Innovation that will be responsible for identifying, exploring, developing, and advancing innovative engineering concepts that improve Mortenson’s engineering, construction, and delivery practices. This role emphasizes technical breadth, self‑directed problem exploration, and the ability to move from abstract problem spaces to practical, scalable solutions in alignment with Mortenson standards and industry best practices. This position reports to an Engineering Lead and works closely with Engineering Services, Operations, Innovation teams, and external partners.
This position offers opportunities at both levels 2 and 3, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineer II Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
2+ years of experience in a similar role
Engineer III Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
4+ years of experience in a similar role
The base pay range for this role is $84,100 – $133,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
