SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Project Buyer – Wind that will develop relationships with suppliers, solicit bids, analyze quotations, and select suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or related discipline or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
4+ years of procurement experience and/or experience in a similar role
Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, purchasing processes, and procurement procedures within renewable energy or utility-scale construction projects (preferred)
Project Management experience (preferred)
Understanding of the renewable energy construction industry, with wind energy experience strongly preferred
Experience sourcing, purchasing, or developing procurement strategies for structural steel, fabricated steel, or other critical construction commodities (preferred)
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive results in a fast-paced project environment (preferred)
Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal, and communication skills
Strong customer service and analytical skills
Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
Software experience
Current driver's license
The base pay range for this role is $85,300 - $128,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
