Electrical MV Terminators

 

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is currently seeking Licensed or Unlicensed Electrical MV Terminators with commercial/industrial experience, including MV terminations, AC/DC electrical systems, and underground work for substations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools.

  • Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.).

  • Pull DC and MV wire.

  • Lift, position, and fasten objects.

  • Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by the electrical trades.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.

  • Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals.

  • Work safely with electrical equipment and with HV/MV/LV AC/DC electrical systems.

  • Mentor and train other team members on your crews.

  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

  • Follow instructions and ask clarifying questions as needed.

  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Electrical Journeyman License preferred, not required – licensed and unlicensed candidates considered.

  • Minimum of two years of electrical experience required.

  • Current driver’s license required.

  • Knowledge of HV/MV/LV AC/DC electrical systems and safe work practices.

  • Ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200 lbs. with assistance.

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb, and reach high and low places; stand and walk throughout the work day; and use repetitive hand/arm/leg movements.

  • Ability to see, hear, balance, and review job sites, and to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions.

  • Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and attention to detail.

  • Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback.

  • Ability and willingness to travel and work on project assignments as needed.

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.

For CA, CO, WA, MN only The base pay range for this role is $Min - $Max per hour. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

 

For CA, CO, WA, MN only Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
