The AC Hotel Minneapolis Downtown by Marriott was recently honored at the NAIOP Awards of Excellence event held on September 28, 2017. The AC Hotel received the Award of Excellence in the hospitality category. The project was designed by ESG Architects and Design Force and developed and built by Mortenson.

The NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence program recognizes exceptional developments by NAIOP members, with winners selected by a panel of independent judges. Projects are rated on criteria site development, architectural integrity, interior design, integration into the community, market feasibility, unique challenges, and LEED certification.
