Mortenson Proudly Supports Construction of Women's Village at Clara Brown Commons

The Colorado Village Collaborative has begun construction of 14 relocatable tiny homes which together will make up the transformational housing community known as the Women's Village at Clara Brown Commons.

"We have truly enjoyed our partnership with the Colorado Village Collaborative and are proud to provide construction services for The Women's Village at Clara Brown Commons," said Maja Rosenquist, senior vice president at Mortenson. "For nearly 40 years, Mortenson has served the people of Colorado, driven by the belief that together, we can build a better world. Now, more than ever, public, private and nonprofit entities must come together to address our community's most pressing needs. The transitional housing at The Women's Village will provide vital alternative shelter for women in Denver experiencing homelessness at a critical time. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community in such an impactful way."

When the Women's Village at Clara Brown Commons opens in October, it will provide an alternative sheltering solution for women and transgender residents experiencing homelessness. This resource- and service-rich environment will aim to provide safety, healing, and community to our neighbors while they work, with support from Colorado Village Collaborative staff and partners, to complete their journey to permanent housing.
