Design Phase Executive II
Frankly, coming to Mortenson was the best decision I ever made because I found a role that I love and I’m actually good at. It’s afforded me tons of opportunities to grow, leverage my strengths, and learn something new every day.

Purpose-driven leadership

For me, great leadership is about creating clarity and trust while empowering teams to succeed. I believe leadership at Mortenson is unique because it blends technical excellence with a culture of collaboration and innovation. Impact truly matters here, and that’s why I focus on building projects that improve communities and create lasting value.

Building better outcomes, together

I’m recognized as a subject matter expert in design-build delivery—a method I champion for its ability to deliver better cost outcomes, schedule certainty, and creative solutions for our customers. My career began in Mortenson’s Sports and Entertainment Group, where I worked on high-profile projects like the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park. Later, a pivotal experience at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly NREL) accelerated my growth. Today, I thrive on projects that demand collaboration and innovation, ensuring our design partners and customers succeed together.

Investing in relationships

I value Mortenson’s culture of doing the right thing and investing in relationships. Every project begins with alignment and trust—both internally and with our customers. The best customer relationships are built on transparency and shared goals, and my approach to the Preconstruction process fosters this collaborative spirit.

PERSONAL PASSIONS

Outside of work, I’m an avid mountain biker and climber, and I share these passions with my partner, Andrea. We prioritize time for our hobbies—it keeps us grounded. I’m also a dedicated board gamer, often connecting with lifelong friends through digital and in-person gaming sessions. Andrea and I have two children, Riggins and Bowie. One of the things I’m most proud of is how our family has navigated life’s challenges and always come away better and stronger. We embrace a ‘life’s too short’ mindset, which ultimately brought us to Denver to focus on experiences that matter. We love to camp, travel, and experience new things together.
