As Development Project Manager, Erich is responsible for advancing new development opportunities in Phoenix across a variety of verticals, in tandem with local Director of Real Estate Development, George Forristall. Erich also serves as the owner’s representative on active development projects in the region and manages their execution from early stages through the design, construction and closeout phases.
Prior to joining the development group, Erich gained over seven years of operational experience with Mortenson’s Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Seattle construction businesses. Erich provided leadership on a variety of projects, from the University of Chicago North Campus Residence Hall and United Airlines North Airfield Program in the Chicago area, to the citizenM Downtown Los Angeles Hotel in Southern California, and more. Erich also worked in business development in Chicago, where he led multiple construction project pursuits and helped foster strong relationships with customers and partners in the real estate and AEC industries. Erich is a licensed professional engineer and maintains his Associate DBIA and LEED AP BD+C credentials.
Erich graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering – construction engineering and management – with a certificate in international engineering. In his free time, Erich enjoys spending time with his wife, Taylor, and their family, friends and puppy, Howie; golfing; traveling; and watching sports.
