Tom Sawatske

As head of capital markets for Mortenson Development, Tom is responsible for sourcing and managing institutional capital relationships and structuring transactions across the company’s national development platform. He plays a key leadership role in shaping capital strategy, structuring joint ventures and debt financings, and aligning investor relationships with Mortenson’s development objectives. His experience spans hospitality, industrial, medical office, multi-family and office sectors, with a strong track record of executing complex capital structures and navigating dynamic market conditions.

Tom began his career in banking and has since held senior roles in real estate development and capital markets. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and is a CFA charterholder.
