Project Manager I or II - Concrete Duck Bank

Position Summary
This Project Manager is a true product leader who is responsible for the overall success of a defined product line or portfolio within BLUvera - specifically, the concrete pre-cast duck bank. This role owns product strategy, market positioning, business performance, customer adoption, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role serves as the bridge between customers, operations, design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure products meet market needs while achieving business objectives. Product Managers are expected to define product vision, manage roadmaps, gather customer requirements, prioritize investments, and align cross-functional teams around product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap.
  Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive threats.
• Prioritize product investments and enhancement initiatives.
• Establish product performance objectives and success metrics.
• Develop business cases for new products, features, and capabilities.

Business Performance

• Own product P&L performance and profitability.
• Monitor revenue growth, margin performance, and market share.
• Evaluate product portfolio performance and lifecycle stage.
• Recommend pricing strategies and value propositions.
• Track key product metrics and customer adoption rates.
   

Customer & Market Leadership

• Conduct customer discovery sessions and gather market intelligence.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
• Evaluate changing industry trends and customer requirements.
• Translate customer needs into product enhancements and development priorities.
   

Project Delivery Leadership

• Partner with Project Managers on customer escalations and strategic issues.
• Review project portfolio health and resource allocation.
   

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, and Finance.
• Manage prioritization of product improvements and innovation efforts.
• Support go-to-market strategies and product launch initiatives.
•  Facilitate alignment across internal stakeholders.
   

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve product performance, scalability,
  manufacturability, and customer experience.
• Lead lessons learned and product feedback processes.
• Drive standardization and repeatability across product delivery models.
   

Leadership Responsibilities
Direct leadership of:

• Product-specific project teams
   

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Product Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, product development,
  operations, or project management.
• Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen and business planning skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
   

Preferred

• Deep concrete product experience 
• Experience with industrialized construction, manufacturing, modularization, or
  prefabrication.
• Product management certification or MBA.
• Experience managing a product P&L.

The base pay range for this role is $113,500 - $170,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
